Please join us as we honor Congressman Doug Collins with the Arnold Broido Award for Copyright Advocacy and pay tribute to our colleague Charles Slater with the MPA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Frank J. Oteri of New Music USA will announce The Paul Revere Awards for Graphic Excellence over lunch, when we will also hear a legal update from MPA Legal Counsel James M. Kendrick on the pressing changes taking place in the music industry.
After lunch Erich Carey, Senior Counsel to NMPA, will give us an update on the MPA/NMPA anti-piracy efforts and Daniel Spreadbury will give a presentation on Dorico, the new professional music notation software from Steinberg. Worth noting: Dorico recently received top honors in the Music Software category in the Sound on Sound Awards 2018!
The afternoon panel promises to have something for any publisher or individual looking to build their customer base expand their reach. Moderated by MPAAdministrator Brittain Ashford, it will feature various composers and industry professionals who will discuss what Branding means and how to build your own brand identity to reach a wider audience.
We hope you’ll stick around for socializing at the afternoon cocktail hour, with live music from the John Murchison Trio out on Redury’s beautiful patio!
