Or a legislator working behind the scenes to make sure that composers and publishers get their fair share?

Maybe a retired colleague who devoted their career to music publishing?

Nominations are due MAY 02, 2025
Awards will be presented in the fall of 2025 in New York City.

ABOUT THE ARNOLD BROIDO AWARD
Since 2009, the MPA has given the Arnold Broido Award for Copyright Advocacy to those who exemplify the ideals that he stood for. Past recipients include Kathy Fernandes, Irwin Z. Robinson, Bart Herbison, Dean Kay, Rep. Jerry Nadler and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries of New York, The Copyright Alliance, and representatives from The Library of Congress, the NMPA, and ASCAP.

We welcome nominations for educators, directors, administrators, political figures and anyone who has championed copyright in their career.

ABOUT THE MPA LIFETIME AWARD
Also established in 2009, the MPA Lifetime Achievement Award honors an outstanding individual who has devoted their life to the music publishing industry. Previous recipients include Keith Mardak, Lauren Keiser, Iris Manus, Charles Slater, Jay Morgenstern, Fred Koenigsberg, Ralph Peer II, Arthur Gurwitz, Frank J. Hackinson, Morty Manus, Dean Burtch and Lynn Sengstack.

This award is intended for those who have worked in the music publishing industry.

ABOUT THE MPA COMPOSER ADVOCACY AWARD
In 2023 the MPA introduced an award for Composer Advocacy, recognizing the figures who work tirelessly to uplift, educate and promote composers. Recipients include Frank J. Oteri and Deidre Chadwick.
